Nancy Keenan to Serve on DNC's Platform Committee

Nancy Keenan, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America, has been selected to serve on the Democratic National Convention's platform committee.

The platform committee is charged with reaffirming the party's principles ahead of the national convention, which will be held in Charlotte, N.C. from September 4-6. Newark Mayor Cory Booker (Go Jersey!) and Lt. Gen. Claudia Kennedy (Ret.) will be the committee's co-chairs.

Having Nancy on the platform committee is a great opportunity to put the issue of a woman's right to choose at the forefront, and to highlight the vast difference between pro-choice President Obama and his anti-choice challenger, Mitt Romney.

Speaking of Mitt, just whom did he put in charge of his platform committee?

That would be Gov. Bob "Forced Ultrasound" McDonnell of Virginia.
