Romney Adviser Dismisses Women's Rights as "Shiny Objects"

| | Comments (43) | TrackBacks (0)

Remember all those things Mitt Romney said he'd do as president to attack women's freedom and privacy?

Like when he said he'd "get rid of" Planned Parenthood? Or that time he said he "absolutely" wanted to see Roe v. Wade overturned?

Yeah, we remember all that, too. And--not surprisingly--Mitt's extreme anti-choice positions are a big problem for the Romney campaign.

But pay no attention, said Romney adviser Eric Fehrnstrom: women's rights are just "shiny objects to distract people's attention."

(Fehrnstrom was also the same guy who said Romney could just Etch-a-Sketch away his anti-choice record.)

Memo to Team Mittens: when you call the issues that affect women's lives "shiny objects" or compare them to caterpillars, you should not be surprised that women don't want to vote for you.
