Romney Calls for Overturning Roe v. Wade. Again.
If there was any doubt that Mitt Romney would be an anti-choice president, that doubt should now be gone.
Last night, Gov. Romney went on ABC's "World News with Diane Sawyer" and reiterated his desire to see Roe v. Wade overturned:
I would love the Supreme Court to say, "Let's send this back to the states." Rather than having a federal mandate through Roe v. Wade, let the states again consider this issue state by state.
This is not the first time Gov. Romney has expressed his desire to see Roe v. Wade overturned.
I guess in Mitt's America, a woman's right to choose safe, legal abortion care would depend on the whims of politicians in her state capital.
It would depend on guys like these.
And as president, Romney could appoint enough Supreme Court justices to make his dream of overturning Roe v. Wade a reality.
Maybe that's why yet another poll shows women just don't trust Gov. Romney.
And for very good reason.
Paid for by NARAL Pro-Choice America, www.ProChoiceAmerica.org, and not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee.

These anti abortions or pro-Lifers would be the first one in line if a rape, teen pregnancy, menopausal pregnancy etc. was to occur to one of their inner circle. Pro Choice is the only way to go. There are no gray areas here. It has to be legalized to protect ALL women.

I was hoping for someone else (Paul Ryan maybe), but I'll take Romney over Obama any day. We need to start growing the employment base instead of downsizing the number employed and claiming "only" an 8% unemployment figure (the actual rate is much higher), and Romney will lead us in that direction. Hopefully the country has learned its lesson for at least a couple of generations, which is not to elect radical college instructors to high office. But I'm not taking bets.
I am a woman who is switching camps--I will vote for Mr. Romney because he believes in God's design of marriage, home, life, prosperity and he knows how to make money--maybe you can teach this to the struggling people of America.
"I guess in Mitt's America, a woman's right to choose safe, legal abortion care would depend on the whims of politicians in her state capital."
Can't you see through your own b.s.? You really think Romney is out to take away rights? He's trying to save unborn babies. That's what pro-life is. But you keep trying to re-frame the argument.
One day we all will look back on abortion as the greatest tragedy every allowed on U.S. soil. We'll compare it to the atomic bomb. "What were we thinking?"
Personally I am not a fan of Romney, however the Republicans needed to select the man with the best chance of beating Obama. Whether we see this man as the ideal candidate or not is irrelevant. The ideal candidate, in these circumstances, is one who wins.
The USA urgently needs to cut its debt and start the economy growing again. Whether Romney can achieve that, only time will tell.
I am a Republican. I am also for women's rights and pro-choice. I hope my story shared on the link below will encourage people, even Mr. Romney, to be more compassionate and open-minded when it comes to sensitive political matters. It's good to have your own opinion, but it's better to respect others opinions and work together for what is the best solution for everybody.
