RNC Chair: War on Women as Fictional as "War on Caterpillars"
Put this one in the "huh?" column.
Reince Priebus, the chairman of the Republican National Committee, dismisses the notion that anti-choice politicians in his party are waging a War on Women:
If the Democrats said we had a war on caterpillars and every mainstream media outlet talked about the fact that Republicans have a war on caterpillars, then we'd have problems with caterpillars. It's a fiction.
A fiction, eh? That's not what's happening in Congress.
Let's recall what anti-choice Republicans in Congress have been up to lately:
- Pushing the Blunt amendment, which could have allowed employers and corporations to block their employees from getting insurance coverage of birth control. Every Republican senator but one voted for this measure.
- Holding a House committee hearing with an all-male panel attacking birth control.
- Attempting to defund Planned Parenthood and eliminate the Title X family-planning program.
These are facts, Mr. Priebus.
It's also a fact that women voters are noticing these attacks, and are rallying around President Obama.
Mr. Priebus, please stop politicizing women's health--and, please, leave the poor caterpillars out of it.

Huh? Mr. Priebus, actions speak louder than words. In addition, the GOP's words have been heard loud and clear by women voters. It is very clear that there is a War on Women being waged across this country by Republicans. You can be sure that women voters and the men that love them will vote with this in mind in November. What the GOP is doing is disgusting, unwarranted, unnecessary and unfair. Women are people too. We are also intelligent voters.
Women are just caterpillars?

Caterpillars die everyday from insecticides. There is a war on caterpillars.
Argument destroyed.
A unique opportunity has presented itself in the 2012 Presidential election for women to make known their political power. Americans Elect has acquired a spot on the national ballot for the November election and yet to date have not been able to qualify a single candidate according to their own requirements. A seeded candidate must have 1000 support clicks in 10 different states As you know this is all done online at the www.americanselect.org. Signing up is simple and free and showing support is even easier. You can nominate anyone you wish and support as many as you like. AE would like to have six qualified candidates for the AE online convention in June to selected the ticket for the November ballot. Women organizations and networks working together could easily produce not just 1 woman candidate but fill all 6 AE candidates spots. 1000 women and supporters of woman from10 states giving a support click is a small number. Doing this is not so much about electing a President but rather is to show the two parties the power of the woman’s vote and the very real effect on governmental leadership that vote has. Go support MICHEALENE RISLEY, ELIZABETH WARREN, HILLARY CLINTON, OLYMPIA SNOW. SHEILA LEE JACKSON, KIRSTEN GILLIBRAND, DEBBIE WASSERMAN SCHULTZ, SHEILA BAIR at AE.
War on caterpillars? I think that would be better compared to the Democrats' supposed "war on religion" for supporting birth control, since THAT's a war that's equally fake. Once they stop trying to defund Planned Parenthood, make extreme abortion-banning bills, and start showing some eagerness to support the women carrying these pregnancies and the children once they ARE born, THEN maybe there'd be a case for them to make. But they aren't doing a damn thing right now.
I am embarrassed he is from WI. Try having sex with a caterpillar, Reince
I am embarrased he is from WI. Try having sex with a caterpillar Reince!
America is afraid of religion. There is a book "America's War on Sex" by Marty Klein, PhD. That book says it all. The Republican conservative religious crazies want to turn this country into a Christian theocracy.
Sex is not dirty. Sex is clean. It is how you got here. What is dirty is their minds. Most adults cannot face reality. You erased my previous writing. You do not like to hear reality. If we left it up to the evangelicals, they would overturn Roe vs. Wade. A woman would not be able to control her own body. The first thing that you learn is freedom, and that is the first thing that they forgot.
