All this week, Garry Trudeau's "Doonesbury" is taking on extreme forced-ultrasound laws like the one in Texas.
Thank Garry Trudeau for highlighting this attack on women's freedom and privacy, and for using "Doonesbury" to educate hundreds of thousands of readers.

I can't remember a Doonesbury cartoon I didn't like.
Way to downplay the blobs and dots. Any REAL OBGYN would be able to tell you what the fetus does have based on how old it is. He forgot to tell her that her fetus has a heartbeat all its own, as well as it's own genetic make up.
Kelli, just because a real OBGYN would know what features a fetus has based on how long it's gestated doesn't mean that those features will be clear on an ultrasound. Most women get abortions at roughly 9 weeks, when it's about the size of a grape. It has features, but they're too small to show up clearly. Ultrasounds are blurry as it is.
As for "heartbeat all its own" & unique genes, so what? A shrimp has those same features. Are you a vegetarian?
