Rep. Michele Bachmann Does "Open Mic" Night
My bad for missing this last night... I guess I wasn't aware they were still letting Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) speak:
I could write about Rep. Michele Bachmann's latest lie, but what would be the point? Where would I start?
Take it away, Briefing Room:
Schools might start offering abortions if healthcare reform passes, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) warned last night. Speaking on the House floor, Bachmann raised concerns about the "school based health clinics" discussed in H.R. 3200, which she labeled "sex clinics." Bachmann said the passage was designed to bring Planned Parenthood into the nation's schools. She continued:
...Does that mean that someone's 13 year-old daughter could walk into a sex clinic, have a pregnancy test done, be taken away to the local Planned Parenthood abortion clinic, have their abortion, be back and go home on the school bus that night? Mom and dad are never the wiser.
Allow me to interject: No. No, it doesn't. Third-party sources have already debunked this claim.
Let's give Bachmann points for being consistently WRONG.

Yes. I heard about this epidemic on Oprah. "Taken away to the local Planned Parenthood" because the Secret "Sex Clinic" Squads (donning their best 21 Jump Street disguises no doubt in order to blend)...are lurking in local school halls, listening to chatter between classes,...obsconding with students as they grab their books from their lockers, throwing them in the trunks of their "Sex Clinic" cars and forcing girls to have an abortion! Please.
Let's give Bachmann points for her paranoid delusions. They are off the charts. God knows how many people will be told this one by their pastors and believe it.
