Rep. Mark Udall becomes Colorado's next U.S. Senator

Oh Colorado... not only have you rejected your extreme, anti-choice ballot measure (you wise, wise people), but you have also elected yourself a pro-choice U.S. Senator in Rep. Mark Udall... and for this, you surely deserve a prize. Or at least a high five.

I, personally, am quite fond of Colorado. I got to go to the Convention there, I got to write all about Rep. Mark Udall's race for an entire, glorious week, and I just basically fell in love with the beauty and people of Colorodo. So I'm particularly excited about these pro-choice wins.

So what did NARAL Pro-Choice America do? NARAL Pro-Choice America PAC contributed $10,000 to Mark Udall's campaign and selected him as a "Pro-Choice Pick" in an email alert sent to more than 35,500 of its most active members nationwide. In the final two weeks of the election, we reached more than 64,000 households with two GOTV calls in support of Udall. NARAL Pro-Choice America also featured Udall as a "Race of the Week" on our blog and our website. Throughout the 2008 election cycle, NARAL Pro-Choice America communicated with 15,512 member-activists in Colorado.
