Obama for America is running choice-themed radio ads
Those of you that live in battleground states may be hearing more about choice during radio drive-time, and that's because the Obama for America is running choice-themed radio ads in key states. Noted so far are Virginia, Wisconsin, Colorado, and Iowa.
Here's the script:
OBAMA: I'm Barack Obama, candidate for president, and I approved this message.
VAL BARON: As a nurse practitioner with Planned Parenthood, I know abortion is one of the most difficult decisions a woman will ever make. I'm Val Baron. Let me tell you: If Roe v Wade is overturned, the lives and health of women will be put at risk. That's why this election is so important. John McCain's out of touch with women today. McCain wants to take away our right to choose. That's what women need to understand. That's how high the stakes are.
ANNCR: As president, John McCain will make abortion illegal. McCain says quote, "I do not support Roe v. Wade. It should be overturned." And listen to McCain's answer on Meet the Press:
RUSSERT: "A constitutional amendment to ban all abortions. You're for that?"
McCAIN: "Yes, sir."VAL BARON: We can't let John McCain take away our right to choose. We can't let him take us back.
ANNCR: Paid for by Obama for America.
Listen to the ad, and read more via CBS news. Have you heard it where you live?

Is there a list of the accomplishments by Obama on women's issues on this website? I keep hearing NARAL gave him a 100% approval rating but you never talk about what he did to earn it. Could you list the reasons? I don't think this is an unreasonable request but I keep asking and no one seems to know! Thanks
I already gave you two links. Here they are again.

This time, actually READ them before you ask the same question again.
oh god, please dear god, if there is a god, please don't let mccain win.
i am so worried about the women in this country right now. it's unfortunate but that palin woman and mcwar may win. lucky for me i am getting my tubes tied soon and won't have to worry about an unwanted pregnancy but for the millions of other women in this country i am scared. that horrible woman really could be the end of choice.
Thanks ronpaulisoverrated. Julie - you can also go here to read all about Obama's record on choice.
There was so little else that his competitors could say against Obama that Biden was just grasping the obvious point of Obama's youth and newness when trying to elevate his own claim to political experience. The first clip is just sound bites under media pressure to diss one another during a loaded political debate. The other clip shows a more extensive, personal reaction, response and opinion of Obama when Joe is not touting his own cause. It's all politics but I believe the second "shirtsleeve" clip is more honest and fairminded. i just saw in pollclash that Joe Biden has now been officially introduced as Barack Obama's Vice Presidential selection well you can see teh video in http://pollclash.com
What a disappointment your organization is - already endorsing a candidate and going back on your word. So what that Palin is on McCain's ticket, did you not know that a majority of Republican Women do not believe that this issue belongs in the hands of politicians? This is one of the issues that will be placed back into the hands of the people should this ticket win.
But either way, you have lost our bi-annual contribution, and we are writing to our affliates to do the same. Basically you can KISS OFF $50K
yall people are so out of touch for the human life of a child. Don't forget. women who have abortions will have to face the almighty God in Heaven and you then will not have the choice to choose life. Go McCain and Palin. We will have the victory in the end. wait and see. ha, ha
angelfire, keep your rosaries out of my ovaries
How many catholics get abortions? Do southern baptists, and other right-wing evangelicals get abortions, abandon or abuse their children? How about slamming their hypocrisies in their faces? Make these statistics public.
i've known many of catholic and other religious nuts who are 'pro life' until their teenage daughter gets pregnant. for some reason they think their daughters circumstances are special. they don't want her life ruined, just everyone elses.
