ABC's Jake Tapper Interviews Barack Obama
I know some of you are tiring of election-related items on this blog, but as you know, this is an extremely important election year. So, it's imperative that we educate Americans on anti-choice Sen. McCain AND pro-choice Sen. Obama with every chance we get.
That said, here is another example of Obama highlighting the difference between him and McCain on choice:
TAPPER: John McCain is aggressively going after women's vote, especially former supporters of Senator Hillary Clinton. He said he'll be a better president for them. Your response?
OBAMA: Well, I'm glad that John McCain is going after women. I think that everybody should go after every voter.
I think John McCain is going to have trouble making the case, when on almost every single issue that's important to women, he's been on the wrong side. You know, he is in favor of judges who would overturn Roe v. Wade. He has opposed equal pay. He has opposed the CHIP program, that would make children insured.
He has opposed efforts to protect women against some of the discrimination that they experience in the workplace. You know, that's not going to be a track record that I think is going to be very appealing to women.
Watch the interview (portions of the segment on women begin at 1:27 seconds in) which takes snippets of this transcript.

"Everyone should go after every voter"? this from the guy who said he doesn't have time to heal the dem party, or work for women's votes but "If women take a moment to realize that on every issue important to women, John McCain is not in their corner, that would help them get over it."
great. i'll pass. I own my vote. And barbara boxer can show up on CNN trying to scare women all she wants, not all of us will come crawling back to party that tried to force this nominee upon us.

An Open Letter to Certain White Women
Who are Threatening to Withhold Support From Barack Obama in November
By Tim Wise
How does anyone know where Obama stands on an issue. He has proven he will say or do anything to get elected. He tells each group of people what they want to hear. I do not trust him. He lies about pretty much everything. He plays the victim and blames everyone else for his actions. This is not someone I would want for a role model.
