Happy 2008. It's been a scary ride for the ladies these past couple of years. I have tried over and over to get all of my friends involved in the battle (or at least make themselves more aware about what's going on), but very few seem to be concerned.
Everyone seems to think that I am paranoid and that Roe vs. Wade is in no danger of being overturned. Or even worse, they respond with things like, "Oh, women will always find someone to give them an abortion, regardless of the laws". That is just such an unacceptable attitude.
Our 'foremothers' are turning over in their graves right now.
Well, I've vented a bit.
This new year has refreshed me. I've been working on my body and my mind, but it's time for my spirit to get stronger.
Reading your posts has been so important to me. People like you help keep my spirits up when it seems like so many in charge are determined to take our rights away.
Keep up the good work.
