Quick hit: A telling title

Check out this headline from the Associated Press: Global abortion rights rise as U.S. adds limits.

Nice, huh? While dozens of countries around the world are making progress on choice, the U.S. is going backwards.

Make sure to check out the whole piece.

The trend I see here is that the more influence of fundamentalist religions, the greater the resistence to women having the power of choice.
It is not an attack on abortion, but an attack on women having the power to make personal decisions, sans male, or male dominated governments, influenced by fundamentalist religion.
China, and India, are unique in that they face a crisis of population. Both have over a billion people, and have to face the hard choice of restricting further population growth. Is unlimited growth a worthy goal when it can present serious conditions of poverty, and malnuetrition for the majority of the population?
China has been condemned for it's position on abortion, but what choice does it have when faced with the prospect of being unable to feed it's population, considering the census? India,as well.
Must the rest of the world continue to propogate till all governments face the same prospect? Must it become a prospect of all governments being faced with the crisis of providing proper care for all it's citizens, before they finally realise that women have the right, that was their's to begin with?
That is the central issue that pisses me off to begin with. What all knowing knowledge has been bestowed on anyone to make a blanket decision regarding ALL women? The Bible? Do not even go there. The Koran? All have been written down by fanatic men who had visions{Illusions?} That have damaged the well being of women for centuries. Enough of this bull! Too many women have suffered under the contrivence of the "Holy Teachings" to continue this inquisition of their beliefs and choices they decide to make in their personal lives, regarding their most personal possesion, their body.
I,as a male, cannot fathom the mental process a woman goes through, when she is faced with a choice she must make, in regards to this issue. I can only offer my full support to supporting your right to make that decision
