Alito hearings, morning edition
10:49AM: Alito says if confirmed he won't be a mold of O'Connor, he'll said "I'll be myself." Just like mom always told you to.
10:45AM: So how many times will Colburn say that Roe
was wrongly decided? Maybe we should make this a drinking game. Oh no
he didn't! The bad science bullshit breast cancer-abortion link?!
10:18AM: Is anyone else freaking out that this guy is equating Roe to Plessy?

How about this OK Senator saying precedent has been overturned something like 127 times and making a point of saying that the framers did not say our courts had to honor stare decisis. Wtf?
Now he just said, "In fact, I'm willing to be that a majority of Americans don't think it's proper for our courts to use foreign law."
Seriously? We copy other state laws, why not foreign law, especially if it's for the better?
Uh, duh, the "copying other states laws" comment doesn't make any sense and I was thinking about my asshat state of Virginia. Though I'm sure many a federal law has come about because an individual states came up with it first.
Hey, and now OK Senator says, "It's okay that you were a doofus in 1985 and said you were against Roe because many of us have backtracked since then." agh.
