Anti-choice activists try to shut down Mississippi’s last clinic

This is just unbelievable. Anti-choice activists are attempting to completely eradicate any semblance of reproductive rights in their state--they are trying to shut down the state’s last women’s health clinic that provides abortions.

The Jackson Women's Health Organization, which treats more than 3,000 women a year statewide, said a setback would not mean defeat and may only put the issue back in front of a judge. The clinic, which is still operating, risks having to scale back the kinds of abortion it can perform.

"We have no intention of leaving and we intend to continue to provide the services that we're providing," said Susan Hill, president of the North Carolina-based National Women's Health Organization. "It won't be easy, but we're staying."

The clinic is waiting to heart if the Department of Health has granted them new certification; in the meantime anti-choice groups have been doing their best to make sure that doesn’t happen.

We continue to see the vestiges of the old south. The vestiges that promoted slavery as a viable social system. I equate the south as a hand maiden to the extreme positions the Taliban has taken in their stupid, bankrupt views of women, in general. Mainstream america rejects these positions as total bullshit, and we should let our dumbass representatives know so! This is really getting to be an exercise in duplicity.
We repeat the mantra over, and over again. I guess the point is that we must continue to do so, untill it sticks on some idiot head in Congress. I guess it takes waving a carrot in front of those fucking idiots to gain their attention

Robert! What if they don't want carrots? How about some money instead?

Malafides,
Come on! They sucked all the money they can from all of us. I suggested carrots because that is what they need to slim down their bloated carcasses to a human level. If our "representatives" do not take care, they are in danger of imploding from all the "fat" they have been skimming from people, like you and me.
I am amazed at the disinterrest people display in the issues we talk about here. For each their own I guess
